Baltimore City YouthWorks 2025 applications now open
The Baltimore City Mayor's Office of Employment Development (MOED) has opened applications for YouthWorks participants and summer employment for 2025. This initiative provides teenagers and young adults aged 14-21 with valuable job opportunities across various sectors, including private companies, nonprofit organizations, and local and state government agencies in Baltimore City.
Participants in the program this summer will earn $15 per hour and can work up to 25 hours per week for five weeks. In 2024, YouthWorks successfully placed over 10,000 young people in summer jobs across nearly 750 employers in the city.
Small businesses with fewer than five employees, along with nonprofit organizations and city or state government entities, can apply to host youth employees at no cost using city funds. Conversely, larger businesses can select and hire youth from the YouthWorks talent pool but must bear the employment costs themselves.
For those interested in applying or obtaining more information about the program, the YouthWorks website can be accessed at http://youthworks.oedworks.com.
To reach the YouthWorks team directly, individuals can call 410-545-1820 on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or email summerjobs@baltimorecity.gov.
