The Caesars Superdome in New Orleans will host the Super Bowl next month, but Verizon has ambitious plans to extend the excitement through a nationwide event called FanFest, set for February 9. This coast-to-coast celebration will take place in 30 NFL markets, allowing fans to engage in festivities at stadiums and venues across the country.

In Philadelphia, the FanFest kicks off at 4 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field, featuring former Eagles player Darren Sproles and offering fans the chance to secure tickets online. Each participating location will provide fans with opportunities to meet current and former NFL stars, enjoy live music, savor local cuisine, and access the field. Celebrities such as Marshall Faulk and Tiki Barber are expected to join in on the celebrations.

Eli Manning, a two-time Super Bowl MVP and Hall of Fame finalist, has been appointed as a FanFest ambassador. He describes the event as the largest simultaneous Super Bowl party ever, akin to a national holiday that celebrates the sport. Manning emphasizes that FanFest is designed to provide fans a unique, holistic Super Bowl experience that includes music, food, and activities for the entire family beyond just watching the game.

Local entertainment will vary by market, with appearances from deejays and specific performances such as a Mariachi band in Los Angeles. Attendees will have exciting activities to partake in, including taking selfies from the 50-yard line, participating in football-themed games, and enjoying access to locker rooms and tailgating experiences.

Verizon aims to make FanFest a once-in-a-lifetime event, as noted by Leslie Berland, the company’s chief marketing officer. With around 150,000 fans expected to attend across the nation, Verizon is thoughtfully considering weather conditions for colder cities, ensuring comfort for attendees in premium lounge areas. Manning asserts that around 120 players are eager to reconnect with their local fans, making the event not only special but a significant community celebration of the sport.
