Alan Page, the Vikings legend and former Minnesota Supreme Court justice, has combined his passion for football with a deep commitment to education. For over 35 years, he and his late wife, Diane, have dedicated their lives to empowering students of color through the Page Education Foundation, which inspires them to pursue higher education.

Reflecting on his legacy, Page emphasizes the impact of the scholars supported by the foundation, saying, "The work that each one of those scholars do, magnifies anything that I possibly could have done." This commitment to education was celebrated in 2012 when Diane encouraged Page and their daughter, Kamie, to write a children's book in honor of the foundation's 25th anniversary.

From that initial book, a series has emerged, the latest being "Baking Up Love." Page describes the book as a blend of family, baking, and education, centered around a little girl who seeks her grandfather's help to bake cupcakes for a literacy feast in her mother's absence.

Page hopes the stories evoke joy and curiosity in families, stating, "Hopefully, our books do a couple of things. One, put a smile on their face. Two, tug at your heart. Three, make you a little curious." The book also invites families to bond over baking a cherished recipe from his late wife, known as "Diane's Mississippi Mud," emphasizing the theme of love in the process.

All proceeds from "Baking Up Love" and the accompanying children's books directly benefit the Page Education Foundation, furthering Page and his late wife's enduring mission to foster educational opportunities for young scholars.
