Ansonia Man Faces Fentanyl Trafficking Charges

Daqwon Graham, a 30-year-old resident of Ansonia, Connecticut, has been arrested in Stamford in connection with federal fentanyl trafficking charges. The announcement was made by Marc H. Silverman, Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut, and Stephen P. Belleau, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the DEA for New England.
Graham has been identified by the Drug Enforcement Administration's Bridgeport HIDTA Task Force and the Stamford Police Department as a significant distributor of fentanyl in Fairfield County. His activities have been linked to multiple overdose deaths, including one in Branford in March 2023 and another in Shelton in October 2024. Authorities conducted controlled purchases of fentanyl from him earlier this year.
He was apprehended on High Ridge Road in Stamford, reportedly found with around 400 grams of fentanyl in his possession. Following his arrest, Graham appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge S. Dave Vatti in Bridgeport, who ordered him to remain in custody pending further proceedings.
Graham now faces serious charges, including possession with the intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl. The ongoing investigation highlights the federal authorities' efforts to combat the fentanyl crisis in New England.
This case underscores the significant role local and federal law enforcement plays in addressing the dangers posed by drug trafficking in communities, as well as the tragic consequences stemming from the opioid epidemic.
