Man arrested after shots fired at Alabaster apartment complex Saturday morning

ALABASTER, Ala. (WBRC) - A man has been arrested following a shooting incident at The Trails apartment complex in Alabaster on Saturday morning. Authorities received reports of gunfire at the location and quickly responded to the scene.

Upon arriving, the Alabaster Police encountered the suspect inside the apartment. During the process of getting him to come out, a single shot was fired; fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Orli Unberto Marquez Cordon, was taken into custody. He faces charges of reckless endangerment due to the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Cordon is currently being held at the Shelby County Jail awaiting further legal proceedings. The investigation by law enforcement continues as they look into the details of the case.
