A Rowlett police officer rescued an intoxicated driver from a burning vehicle after the driver collided with the officer's patrol car early Thursday morning. This dramatic incident occurred while the officer was assisting Garland police with traffic control on Interstate 30, as detailed by the Rowlett Police Department.

Following the collision, the officer quickly exited his patrol vehicle and approached the suspect's car. Upon realizing that the driver was unresponsive, the officer took swift action to break the window with his elbow and dragged the man to safety.
