Coroner: Infant death under investigation in Pickens County

EASLEY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - A death investigation involving a child is currently underway in Easley, as reported by the Pickens County Coroner's Office. The authorities received a call around 8:30 p.m. on Friday regarding a scene located on Nations Way.

Responding to the incident, the Easley Police Department reported that Pickens County EMS was called to assist a woman who had recently given birth. Unfortunately, the infant was discovered with serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
