Secret Service shoots armed man outside White House

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Early Sunday morning, U.S. Secret Service agents shot an armed man following a confrontation near 17th and F Streets NW, as confirmed by an official statement. At the time, President Trump was in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Authorities had been alerted the previous day about a suicidal individual who might be traveling from Indiana to Washington, D.C. Around midnight, agents located the suspect's parked vehicle and identified a man nearby who matched the provided description.
When the officers approached the individual, he allegedly displayed a firearm, resulting in an armed confrontation that led to the Secret Service personnel firing their weapons. The man was subsequently taken to a hospital, although his current condition is still unknown.
