Early Morning Disturbance At Wahneta Gas Station Leads To Arrest Of Winter Haven Man

A disturbance at a gas station in Wahneta, Florida, led to the arrest of a Winter Haven man with outstanding felony warrants early Saturday morning. The Polk County Sheriff's Office received a call about the incident at the Citgo fuel station located on Rifle Range Road around 1:00 a.m. on March 8th.
When deputies arrived, they found that the person causing the disturbance, identified as 56-year-old Richard Hidalgo, was attempting to leave the scene. Authorities quickly apprehended him shortly after arriving.
A routine check revealed that Hidalgo had active felony warrants in Polk County for Violation of Probation related to theft and Failure to Appear concerning trespassing charges. This prior record contributed to the urgency of his arrest.
Hidalgo was taken into custody and transported to the Polk County Jail, where he will face the outstanding charges.
