Man shot to death next to strip mall in Glendale; suspect in custody

GLENDALE, Calif. (CNS) -- A suspect has been taken into custody following a fatal shooting that occurred next to a strip mall in Glendale on Saturday afternoon. The incident took place around 3 p.m. in the 500 block of West Colorado Street, at the intersection with Pacific Avenue.

Upon responding to reports of gunfire, Glendale police found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds in a space between the strip mall and another nearby business. Paramedics transported the man to a hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Authorities have not yet released his identity.

Later that evening, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Glendale police announced the arrest of a suspect in Los Angeles. While details regarding the suspect have not been disclosed, police emphasized that the shooting appeared to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.
