A chaotic scene unfolded at a CarMax dealership in Inglewood, California, when a customer drove his vehicle into the showroom, injuring multiple people on Saturday afternoon. The incident was reported shortly after 2:10 p.m. local time, igniting panic among employees and customers present at the time.

Witnesses revealed that the driver had previously been getting his vehicle appraised at the dealership but became upset with the offer made to him. After exiting the confrontation, he returned to his parked car and, after a couple of attempts, smashed through the front entrance of the showroom, a moment captured on video.

The footage shows the driver reversing into the showroom as terrified customers and employees fled in all directions. He continued to drive through the building, shattering glass and disregarding overturned furniture along the way. Video by Miguel Hernandez, who was at the dealership looking to purchase a car, documented the chaos that ensued.

At least eight individuals sustained injuries during the incident, with the Los Angeles County Fire Department reporting that two people were hospitalized with critical injuries, while another six received treatment for minor injuries at the scene. The situation was initially reported as an active shooter incident, but authorities later clarified that this was not the case.

In response to the shocking event, CarMax issued a statement acknowledging the occurrence and confirming that the driver had been arrested by law enforcement. The company expressed concern for the wellbeing of those injured and emphasized their commitment to ensuring a safe environment for customers and staff.
