Police: WNC man wanted on forcible sex offense charge arrested in Texas

The Brevard Police Department in North Carolina has confirmed the arrest of a suspect wanted for a forcible sex offense charge in Texas. Ralph Eugene Frady, 68, faces charges for a second-degree forcible sexual offense, allegedly committed against a person with mental disabilities.

Police were alerted to the sexual offenses around October 30, 2024, and an investigation ensued. Detectives from the Brevard Police Department identified Frady as a suspect, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant on February 10.

Subsequently, law enforcement reported that Frady fled the area but was apprehended during a traffic stop in Texas by the Bastrop County Sheriff's Office. He is currently awaiting transport back to Brevard.
