Muskogee vehicle pursuit ends in officer-involved shooting; suspect hospitalized

MUSKOGEE, OKLA (KTUL) -- A vehicle pursuit in Muskogee led to an officer-involved shooting on Saturday, March 8, following a reported shooting incident earlier that evening.
The Muskogee Police Department (MPD) responded to the first report around 6:09 p.m. near the intersection of 24th Street and Topeka Avenue, where they found a shooting victim at the scene.
As the investigation unfolded, officers located a suspect vehicle and initiated a pursuit, which culminated in shots being fired at the driver of the vehicle.
The driver sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital in Tulsa for treatment.
Currently, the investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the MPD has not released additional details.
