Thieves use stolen car to break into other cars

In Cape Coral, Florida, several residents are reeling from a series of car break-ins that occurred on Friday. The incidents took place in multiple locations, including South Gator Circle, leaving many individuals searching for their stolen belongings.
One resident, Holly Ann, reported her car stolen. After notifying the police, it was eventually recovered in Lehigh Acres, but not before it had been rifled through. Inside her vehicle were numerous items that did not belong to her, such as a school laptop, a passport, and personal diaries. The police had spotted her car but were unable to track it again until they discovered it abandoned on a dirt road.
Holly Ann recounted the unsettling experience of finding items from other individuals who had also fallen victim to the break-ins. This included connecting with one of the owners, whose passport had mistakenly ended up in her car. "I have to find this lady because she probably doesn't even know what's gone," she expressed, emphasizing her desire to return the belongings to their rightful owners.
While she is relieved to have her car back, Holly Ann expressed frustration over the audacity of criminals who violate others without fear of consequences. She hopes that law enforcement will take action against those responsible for the break-ins, as she has already pressed charges in her case.
The wave of burglaries has left the Cape Coral community on edge, prompting calls for increased vigilance and safety measures to protect residents' property.
