Man accused of robbing same store five times

An Aurora man, 20-year-old Ross Woessner, was arrested last week in connection with a series of armed robberies targeting gas station convenience stores. Over nine days, he allegedly committed six robberies, including five at the same Shell gas station on South Tower Road and one at a 7-Eleven on East Hampden Avenue.
Woessner's arrest took place on March 4, shortly after the latest robbery. His criminal history includes a previous aggravated robbery charge from May 2023, when he was arrested by Denver Police. Though he quickly bonded out, the judge mandated two mental health evaluations. That particular charge was eventually dropped, and the case was closed by September 2024.
The timeline of Woessner's alleged robberies indicates that his first incident in Aurora occurred in July 2024, just two months before the dismissal of the Denver case. He now faces charges from Aurora Police Department related to these crimes.
As it stands, Woessner is being pursued by prosecutors from the 18th Judicial District for multiple felonies linked to the robberies. The Aurora Police Department has credited its Gang Robbery Investigative Team (GRIT) for their role in his arrest.
On Tuesday, Woessner is expected to learn the specific number of charges against him, as the investigation continues into his alleged criminal activity in the area.
