GREENFIELD, Calif. (KION-TV) - The City of Greenfield is moving forward with a resolution to fund a reward for information regarding a suspect involved in a hit-and-run incident that occurred in February. This decision follows discussions held during the City Council meeting on February 25th.

The incident involved an unidentified driver hitting a 17-year-old senior from Greenfield High School at approximately 6:45 p.m. near Walnut Avenue and 13th Street while the victim was out running. The teenager sustained injuries and was subsequently treated at a local hospital.

Evidence collected by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Monterey has linked to the vehicle that struck the victim, providing leads for the ongoing investigation.

The proposed resolution aims to incentivize the public to come forward with any information that could assist in identifying the suspect. The specifics of the reward amount will be discussed at the next City Council meeting.

Residents are encouraged to attend the upcoming Greenfield City Council meeting on Tuesday, March 11, at 6 p.m. to learn more about the reward and the investigation.
