KSP: Green County man arrested for possession of child sexual abuse material

GREENSBURG, Ky. (LEX 18) -- A man from Green County, Kentucky, has been arrested on multiple charges related to the possession of child sexual abuse material. The Kentucky State Police (KSP) reported that 35-year-old Ian Douglas was apprehended following a search warrant executed at his residence.

The KSP's investigation began after they received a tip from the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) in Florida, which reported that a person was attempting to acquire possible child sexual abuse material. The CCSO traced the activity to an IP address located in Green County, prompting the search.

During the execution of the search warrant at Douglas' home, authorities discovered explicit images and videos of minors on his electronic devices. In addition to the child sexual abuse material, officers also found marijuana and various drug paraphernalia.

As a result of these findings, Douglas faces serious charges, including 20 counts of possessing matter portraying sexual performance by a minor, as well as trafficking marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He has been taken to the Taylor County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing, as law enforcement continues to look into the full extent of Douglas' activities and any potential network related to the case.
