BOYNTON BEACH, FL -- A paralegal from Boynton Beach, Stephanie Federer, has been arrested for DUI again while already on probation from a previous DUI charge in 2023. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office took her into custody on Monday, and she currently remains in jail facing multiple charges, including violating probation, DUI, and driving with a suspended license.

The arrest occurred during a routine patrol on March 16, 2025. An officer observed a silver Toyota Sequoia swerving out of its lane and speeding—traveling at 60 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. When the officer activated the emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop, Federer abruptly applied the brakes and later entered a gas station before complying with the officer's instructions.

Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer identified Federer and noted signs of impairment. She exhibited slurred speech and had difficulty locating her driver’s license and other documents. Observations also included glassy eyes and a noticeable odor of alcohol emanating from the car. Federer reportedly struggled to maintain her balance while exiting the vehicle and had trouble following basic instructions, indicative of her impaired state.

Federer experienced problems during the field sobriety tests and provided breath samples showing alcohol levels of .129 and .123, well above the legal limit of .08. Additionally, police described her behavior as calm yet rambling and repetitive.

Her bond has been set at $6,000, and she awaits further legal proceedings as she faces serious charges for her actions while on probation.
