Lincoln man charged after 14-year-old describes sexual assault to authorities

A Lincoln man has been arrested following allegations of assault from a teenager who claims he inappropriately touched her while she was asleep. The incident reportedly occurred in early March while 51-year-old Alphonso American Horse was staying with extended family in York, Nebraska.

According to an affidavit from the York County Court, the 14-year-old girl was able to move away from American Horse and informed a family member about the assault. This prompted a confrontation between the family member and American Horse regarding the allegations.

The family member subsequently kicked American Horse out of the house. He was arrested and charged with several offenses, including first-degree assault of a child, intentional child abuse, and debauching a minor.

American Horse was booked into jail on Tuesday, and the case has raised significant concerns regarding the safety and protection of minors in the community. Law enforcement is continuing to investigate the matter to ensure that justice is served.
