Motorcyclist injured in Sioux Falls hit-and-run

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - A motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run incident on Sunday evening when a car exited a private drive and collided with the motorcycle before fleeing the scene.

The accident took place around 7:43 p.m. at the intersection of 12th Street and Western Avenue, as confirmed by Sioux Falls Police.

Public Information Officer Sam Clemens reported that the vehicle involved was a dark-colored Ford SUV that struck the motorcyclist after turning onto 12th Street.

Clemens highlighted the nature of the incident, emphasizing that the driver did not stop following the collision.

Fortunately, the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
