Human skeletal remains were discovered on Thursday during a police search related to the 2020 case of Amanda Grazewski, a New Hampshire woman who vanished five years ago. Authorities conducted the search near the Hoodkroft Country Club golf course in Derry, acting on a tip received the previous day. While it remains unconfirmed whether the remains belong to Grazewski, officials noted that identification by the medical examiner's office could take several months.

Derry police reported that no criminal activity was linked to the area of the country club, and they do not believe there is a threat to the public. Family members of Grazewski were present at the search site but indicated they had not received updates from law enforcement throughout the day. Investigators confirmed the discovery of the skeletal remains shortly before 6 p.m.

The search involved detectives from the Derry Police Department along with the New Hampshire State Police Major Crimes Unit and members of New Hampshire Fish and Game. Investigators planned to continue their work in the area for at least another day, as the golf course remains closed to the public during the investigation.

Grazewski was last seen after leaving her home on Birch Street in the early hours of March 17, 2020, without her purse or cellphone. At that time, she did not have a vehicle available to her, making her disappearance even more concerning.

Authorities noted that Grazewski had a history of substance abuse and had frequented various locations in the region prior to her disappearance. By 2024, police had invested over 1,000 hours into finding her, employing grid searches, drone technology, and K-9 units in an ongoing effort to uncover what happened to the single mother.
