NH resident arrested for possession of child sex abuse images

NASHUA -- A 19-year-old man from Goffstown, Daniil Del Gaudio, was arrested on Tuesday after an investigation revealed images of child pornography on his cellphone. The Nashua Police Department announced that an arrest warrant was issued based on findings from a tip-off by another New Hampshire law enforcement agency in January regarding the illegal content.
Following the issuance of the warrant, Del Gaudio voluntarily turned himself in and is facing five counts of possession of child sexual abuse images, all classified as Class A felonies. According to details from court documents submitted to the 9th Circuit District Division Nashua Court, the charges stem from sexually explicit files found on his device—two involving 16-year-old females and three involving 17-year-olds.
New Hampshire law notes that while the age of consent is 16, the regulations concerning child pornography are much stricter, aiming to protect minors under 18 from exploitation. Consequently, the possession of such images can lead to severe legal consequences, including imprisonment.
During his court arraignment, Del Gaudio pleaded not guilty to all five charges, each potentially carrying a sentence of seven to 15 years. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for April 17, although his attorney was not available for immediate comment.
Authorities are encouraging anyone with further information about the case to reach out to the Nashua Police Department Crime Line at 603-589-1665.
