Delaware man arrested after firing shots, threatening neighbors at Millsboro gathering

A 56-year-old man from Millsboro, Delaware, was arrested on multiple firearms charges following an incident on Saturday night. According to Delaware State Police, Harry Hudson allegedly fired shots near his residence after a dispute at a neighborhood gathering. Officers were called to Gravel Hill Road around 11:25 p.m. to investigate reports of disorderly conduct and gunfire.
It was revealed that Hudson had caused a disturbance at a social event, leading to his initial request to leave the gathering. After departing, he returned with a large dog and made threatening remarks before being asked to leave once more. Witnesses reported that as he walked away, he displayed a concealed handgun.
Shortly thereafter, attendees heard gunshots coming from Hudson's property, accompanied by threats yelled from him. When police arrived, they found Hudson in his driveway, yelling obscenities, and he was taken into custody without any resistance. A loaded firearm was discovered on the ground nearby.
Further investigation revealed that Hudson is a convicted felon, which makes it illegal for him to possess firearms or ammunition. As a result, he was charged with various weapons offenses. Following his arrest, Hudson was transported to Troop 4 for processing.
He was subsequently arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 and released on a $21,050 unsecured bond. The case highlights the ongoing issues surrounding firearm possession and public safety, particularly involving individuals with prior felony convictions.
