PLCS school psychologist arrested after reports of child sexual assault

LA VISTA, Neb. (KMTV) - Jeffrey Fauble, a 44-year-old psychologist at G. Stanley Hall Elementary in the Papillion La Vista Community School District, was arrested on Tuesday morning following allegations of child sexual assault. The police indicate that the charges do not involve any students from the district.
As a result of the allegations, the school district placed Fauble on administrative leave and is actively working towards terminating his employment. Fauble began his career with the district as a psychology intern at Tara Heights Elementary during the 2023/2024 school year before being hired as a full-time psychologist for the current year.
Fauble has a previous work history in education; he served as a classroom paraprofessional at Ralston Public Schools from December 2019 to May 2020. Additionally, prior to his career in education, he was a deputy with the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office from March 2005 until his resignation in 2010.
The investigations continue, and Fauble is currently being held at Douglas County Jail. The school community is reacting to the news, with officials emphasizing their commitment to student safety and the seriousness of the allegations.
