A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the January 2024 death of a toddler in Keene, New Hampshire, according to the state's Attorney General's office. Annthoni Bliss faces a charge of second-degree murder, reflecting "extreme indifference to the value of human life," in relation to the death of 23-month-old Luca Hudson.
Emergency services were called on January 14, 2024, to an apartment in Keene after receiving reports of an infant experiencing medical distress. Upon arriving, police and medics found Hudson unconscious and not breathing. He was promptly transported to a hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries three days later.
The medical examiner determined that Hudson's death was a homicide caused by blunt head trauma. Following this finding, investigators secured a warrant for Bliss's arrest based on evidence linking him to the case.
Bliss was taken into custody and is scheduled for arraignment at the Eighth Circuit Court, Keene District Division. Details regarding his relationship to Hudson have not yet been disclosed.
The case has drawn significant attention, and further updates are expected as legal proceedings unfold.
