Starkville man receives 10 years for Felony firearm possession

A Starkville man, Antonio Johnson, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for violating federal firearms laws. The 49-year-old entered a guilty plea in Federal Court in Greenville for possession of firearms by a convicted felon and for using firearms in connection with a drug trafficking crime.
The U.S. District judge imposed a sentence of 120 months, or 10 years, followed by five years of supervised release after Johnson completes his prison term. Following the sentencing, he was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals.
The case against Johnson was a result of a collaborative investigation by multiple agencies, including the FBI, the Starkville Police Department, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
