Man wearing postal service T-shirt found dead in landfill

RIDGELAND, Mississippi (WAPT) -- A deceased individual was discovered at Little Dixie Landfill in Ridgeland on Monday afternoon. The finding occurred around 1:30 p.m. when an employee reported the situation to the Ridgeland Police Department.

Police officials have stated that detectives are thoroughly processing the scene, although further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the man's death have not been disclosed. The victim has not yet been identified, prompting authorities to reach out for public assistance.

The unidentified man is described as a Black individual with a gray stubble beard and balding white hair. At the time of discovery, he was wearing a dark T-shirt emblazoned with "United States Postal Service" and featuring a yellow logo.
