An 18-year-old man, Edgar Antonio Venegas of Twin Falls, was arrested on multiple felony charges related to a fatal crash that claimed the life of 30-year-old Jose Malagon and injured four others. The arrest follows an investigation by the Twin Falls Police Department, which tracked down Venegas using a warrant for his involvement in the incident.

The crash occurred early in the morning on February 22, at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Lois Street. Authorities report that Venegas was driving a 2016 Chrysler 300 and failed to stop at a sign, subsequently colliding with a 2014 Chrysler 200 driven by Malagon. After the accident, Venegas allegedly fled the scene.

Malagon was discovered at his residence shortly after the crash and was initially treated at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was airlifted to a hospital in Boise, where he unfortunately died later that day.

The four individuals who were passengers in Venegas' vehicle sustained minor injuries and received treatment. The police have stated that the investigation into the crash is ongoing, and additional details may emerge as inquiries continue.

Venegas faces serious charges, including vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene of an injury accident, two counts of aggravated DUI, and four counts of injury to a child.
