Amarillo runaway identified as suspect in Clovis burglary

Clovis police apprehended two individuals early Wednesday morning in connection with a burglary at the Hilltop Bottle Shop on 22nd Street. The incident was reported at 3:47 a.m. when dispatch received an alarm notification. Upon arrival, officers discovered a broken window at the front door of the store.
After conducting a thorough search, officers located two suspects inside the shop, along with a bag of stolen nicotine vapes and alcohol. Following their detention, the suspects were brought to the Clovis police department for questioning regarding their involvement in the burglary.
One of the suspects, 18-year-old Latreveon Frohnhofer, confessed to the burglary and also revealed his participation in a similar incident back in September 2024. The second suspect was identified as a runaway juvenile from Amarillo and was subsequently arrested as well.
The juvenile was charged with multiple offenses, including burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal damage, and resisting, eluding, and evading police. Frohnhofer faced charges for burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and criminal damage under $1,000.
