18-year-old, Amarillo juvenile arrested, charged with overnight burglary in Clovis

CLOVIS, NM (KCBD) - Two suspects, an 18-year-old and a juvenile runaway from Amarillo, have been arrested following a burglary at the Hilltop Bottle Shop on W. 22nd St. Clovis Police responded to a burglary alarm around 3:45 a.m. and discovered the pair inside the store.

Upon arrival, officers noted a broken front door window and apprehended the suspects with a bag containing various nicotine vapes and alcohol. The first suspect, identified as 18-year-old Latreveon Frohnhofer, confessed to having burglarized the same establishment back in September 2024.

The juvenile, whose identity has not been released, was taken to the Lea County Juvenile Detention Center. He faces multiple charges, including burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal damage, and resisting arrest. Frohnhofer was booked into the Curry County Detention Center on similar charges, including contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Currently, charges related to the September burglary involving Frohnhofer are still pending as the police consult with the District Attorney's Office. Authorities continue to seek additional information about this incident.
