Burglary suspects caught in the act with nicotine vapes, alcohol
Two burglary suspects were apprehended early in the morning after attempting to steal nicotine vapes and alcohol from the Hilltop Bottle Shop in Clovis, New Mexico. The incident occurred around 3:45 a.m. when police responded to a report of a break-in at the store located on 124 W. 22nd St., where they discovered a damaged front door.
Upon searching the premises, officers found 18-year-old Latreveon Frohnhofer and a juvenile accomplice inside the store with a bag full of stolen vapes and alcohol. Frohnhofer confessed to his role in this burglary and revealed his involvement in a previous break-in at the same location that took place in September 2024.
As a result of their actions, Frohnhofer faces multiple charges, including burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and criminal damage valued at less than $1,000. The second suspect, identified as a runaway juvenile from Amarillo, is also facing several charges, including burglary and resisting arrest.
