Pawtucket police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday night in the parking lot of a Walgreens store located at 100 Broad Street. The incident was reported around 7:50 p.m., prompting a swift response from law enforcement.
Upon arrival, officers found a 27-year-old male victim who had sustained injuries to his leg and face. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Despite being a key witness, the victim is reportedly not cooperating with the investigation, leaving detectives with limited information. The police are working to piece together the timeline and specific circumstances surrounding the shooting.
