Maine man arrested for domestic violence assault in Bangor

A Bangor man has been charged with domestic violence following an alleged assault inside a vehicle at a local homeless encampment. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning at Camp Hope, located behind the Hope House Health and Living Center on Cleveland Street.

Police were called to the scene around 6 a.m. after receiving a report of the assault. Upon arrival, officers located the parked vehicle and began to gather information from the victim, the suspect, and a witness.
