Police arrest 4 people after fentanyl investigation in Clarksburg

Four individuals were arrested in Clarksburg following a fentanyl investigation conducted by the West Virginia State Police. Gregory Shipley, 36, Iziah Hill, 30, Jordan Martin, 24, and Burgandy Abner, 33, face various drug charges connected to activities at a residence located at 127 Haymond Highway.
The investigation spanned February and March and culminated in a search warrant executed on Wednesday. Inside the property, authorities found Shipley in possession of fentanyl, along with a cutting agent and various drug paraphernalia, including scales, baggies, and smoking devices. These items suggested involvement in drug distribution.
Abner was implicated after a confidential informant purchased small amounts of fentanyl from her on multiple occasions in February and March. Similarly, Hill and Martin were arrested following additional purchases made by the same informant. All transactions occurred outside the same residence.
Charges against the individuals vary: Abner faces three counts of delivery of a controlled substance, while Hill and Martin are each charged with one count. In addition, Shipley is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Currently, all four suspects are being held at the North Central Regional Jail as authorities continue their efforts to combat drug-related offenses in the area.
