Doctor accused of trying to kill wife on Hawaii hiking trail

HONOLULU (TNND) -- A doctor from Hawaii has been charged with second-degree murder after allegedly attempting to kill his wife during a hike. Dr. Gerhardt Konig, 46, who works at the Anesthesia Medical Group in Maui, reportedly attacked his wife on the Pali Puka trail, trying to push her off the trail and striking her numerous times with a rock.
