Providence Police arrest 2 after shots fired incident | ABC6

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) -- The Providence Police Department reported two arrests on Thursday evening following a shots fired incident. Authorities responded to calls about gunfire in the vicinity of Shiloh Street and Hyacinth Street around 6:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle speeding away from the scene. After a short pursuit, the driver and a passenger exited the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot.

Both individuals were apprehended by the police, and a firearm was recovered during the incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

As of 7:30 p.m., the investigation into the shooting was ongoing. The police continued to gather information and assess the situation.
