Police seek 18-year-old Joseph Gray after early morning chase

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- In the early hours of Friday, around 4 a.m., a suspect collided with Winston-Salem Police during an attempted traffic stop on University Parkway and Shattalon Drive. This encounter prompted a short pursuit, which concluded when the suspect abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot in the vicinity of Appomattox Drive and Harpers Ferry Road.
The suspect has been identified as 18-year-old Joseph Gray, who remains at large despite efforts to locate him. Authorities employed a K-9 unit and utilized drones to assist in the search, but Gray has not yet been apprehended. Fortunately, no officers were injured in the incident, although a few police vehicles sustained minor damage.
