Grand Island undercover enticement case headed to trial court

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Ricky Ramirez, a 40-year-old man from Grand Island, is facing trial after being charged with child enticement by electronic device. The case has moved to Hall County District Court following Ramirez's decision to waive an evidence hearing.
The charges against Ramirez arose from an investigation conducted by the Grand Island Police Department. According to reports, he communicated with an undercover investigator who was posing as a 14-year-old girl online.
Ramirez allegedly arranged to meet this individual at a convenience store in Grand Island, where he was subsequently arrested by law enforcement.
An arraignment hearing for Ramirez is set for April 15, during which he will enter a plea of either guilty or not guilty concerning the charges.
His bond has been established at $50,000 as he awaits further proceedings in the case.
