Lewiston police arrest Pennsylvania fugitive in March 14 shooting

A Pennsylvania fugitive, Terrell Humphrey, was arrested in Lewiston on Thursday following a two-week investigation into a shooting incident from March 14. According to the Lewiston Police Department's Facebook post, Humphrey, 40, of Scranton, Pennsylvania, faces multiple charges, including reckless conduct with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Humphrey was already wanted on an extraditable warrant from Pennsylvania and is currently being held at Androscoggin County Jail while awaiting extradition to his home state. The investigation leading to his arrest began early on the morning of March 14 when police received reports of gunfire in the area of Ash and Howe streets.
Upon responding, officers initially found no evidence of the shooting. However, after reviewing extensive public and private surveillance footage, they identified a suspect who had fired a handgun into the air. The Criminal Investigations Division meticulously traced the suspect's movements throughout the city before ultimately identifying him as Humphrey.
The arrest marks the culmination of significant investigative work by local law enforcement, which utilized video evidence to pinpoint the suspect’s actions leading up to the shooting incident.
