Loveland Teen Suspected of Deliberately Starting House Fire, Police Report

A 16-year-old was arrested in Loveland, Colorado, on suspicion of intentionally starting a house fire near Big Barnes Ditch, according to the Loveland Police Department. The incident occurred on March 20, where a fire broke out near W. 8th St. and E. Kelly Drive. Although the fire was extinguished safely and no injuries were reported, the damages to the property were significant.

Following the fire, the teenager was taken into custody, and detectives discovered he might have been involved in other suspicious activities the day before the fire. This raised concerns among the authorities regarding a possible pattern of reckless behavior.

In light of this, Loveland Police are urging residents near Big Barnes Ditch to report any unusual activity they may have witnessed on March 19 around 1 p.m. Officers believe there may have been attempts to start additional fires that day.
