Eight people detained, three arrested, as drugs and gun are found during Berrien County bust

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) announced a significant drug bust on social media, revealing that eight individuals were detained and various illegal items were seized in Benton Harbor. The raid conducted on March 25 took place in the 400 block of Broadway Avenue.
Among the items seized during the operation were a semi-automatic pistol, crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia that indicated ongoing drug distribution activities in the area. These seizures are part of SWET's broader efforts to combat local drug issues.
Those arrested during the operation have been lodged at the Berrien County Jail while the investigation continues. Michigan State Police mentioned that there may be further arrests as they delve deeper into the case.
