2 charged with murder after shooting in Prichard

Two men have been arrested and charged with murder in connection to a deadly shooting in Prichard, Alabama, with authorities also seeking a third individual. The incident occurred on Helen Street just after midnight Thursday, prompting a response from the Mobile County Sheriff's Office (MCSO).
Upon arrival, Major Crimes detectives and the Crime Scene Unit discovered the victim, identified as James Wright, lying face down in a front yard, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses reported that the shooting followed an argument among a group of people playing dice shortly before the gunfire erupted.
The arrested suspects are 21-year-olds Jadedeon Blount and Kenneth Padgett. The MCSO has taken over the investigation and is actively pursuing leads in the case.
