A Rock Falls woman, Jessica Deboer, 45, has been charged with three felonies post a traffic stop conducted by Oregon police on March 23. The stop occurred in the 1200 block of West Washington Street (Illinois 64) due to a traffic violation, leading Officer Zach McKean to investigate further.

Following the traffic stop, police found substantial quantities of illegal substances in Deboer's vehicle, including 49 grams of methamphetamine, seven pills of MDMA (ecstasy), seven grams of cocaine, and 70 grams of psilocybin, a psychedelic compound commonly associated with "magic mushrooms." Deboer is specifically charged with possessing methamphetamine with intent to deliver between 15-100 grams, along with other drug-related offenses.

The court documents reveal that Deboer intended to deliver a range of drugs, including 50-200 grams of psilocybin and 5-15 grams of ecstasy. Ecstasy, also known as MDMA or "molly," is recognized for its stimulant and hallucinogenic properties and is often associated with party culture. The Drug Enforcement Administration notes that it comes in various forms and colors.

In addition to the felony charges, Deboer faces a misdemeanor charge for unlawful possession of cannabis as a driver. This charge arises from her failure to properly secure the cannabis in a child-restraint container, rendering it accessible within the vehicle.

Deboer was released after a hearing on March 24 and is set for a preliminary court appearance on April 2 at 10 a.m. As of Wednesday, no charges had been filed against her passenger.
