15-year-old arrested for N Portland shooting that critically injured another teen

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting that critically injured another teenager in north Portland. The incident occurred in the early hours of March 23, where officers were dispatched to the 6700 block of North Pittsburg Avenue and found a boy suffering from a gunshot wound near a vehicle.
The victim, identified as Elliot Beck, a sophomore at Roosevelt High School, sustained a gunshot wound to the head. He was immediately taken to Randall Children's Hospital, where he has been in a medically induced coma due to his life-threatening injuries.
As the investigation progressed, police discovered that several other teenagers were present at the scene during the incident. On Thursday, a 15-year-old suspect surrendered to detectives and has been charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, and first-degree robbery.
