YouTube account leads New Haven police to drag racing suspect

NEW HAVEN, CT (WFSB) - New Haven police have arrested a suspect linked to drag racing incidents after scrutinizing his YouTube posts. The individual, identified as 35-year-old Arturo Hernandez from New Milford, was implicated during an investigation into street takeovers that took place in December 2024.
Investigators discovered various social media accounts orchestrating these street racing events, including a YouTube channel named "CTSTREETS203." This account featured videos of street racing activities uploaded over several months, which helped authorities connect the dots.
Through their analysis, police determined that Hernandez was the owner of the "CTSTREETS203" account. As a result of his involvement in the organization of these illegal races and street takeovers, an arrest warrant was issued for him.
Hernandez was apprehended on Thursday and charged with inciting to riot, highlighting the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to address and curb illegal street racing activities in the area.
