Brothers arrested on capital murder charges following Phenix City shooting in January

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Two men have been charged with capital murder in connection with a shooting in Phenix City that resulted in a man's death in January. The incident occurred on January 25, when Hernandis Harmon was found shot multiple times in the 400 block of Highway 165.
In the wake of the shooting, authorities quickly arrested 22-year-old Marquavious London the following day, charging him with capital murder. Additional warrants were issued for brothers Rufus Alston and Douglas Armour as the investigation progressed.
On March 28, the Muscogee County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with the Phenix City Police Department, executed search warrants in separate locations in east and south Columbus. This operation led to the arrests of Alston and Armour without any complications.
During the arrests, Alston was found in possession of a modified Glock capable of automatic fire, while Armour had an AK-47 rifle in his possession. Both suspects were taken to the Muscogee County Jail as the authorities continue their investigation into the shooting.
The case remains active, with law enforcement working to gather more information related to the incident.
