Woman finds unknown injured man inside her home, man pronounced dead at hospital: police

FAUQUIER COUNTY, Va. - Authorities are investigating a suspicious death following the discovery of an injured man in a home in Fauquier County. The incident occurred on the evening of March 27, 2025, around 9:50 p.m.

A local homeowner in the 13000 block of John Marshall Highway found the man inside her residence and immediately called the authorities. Upon arrival, law enforcement and emergency responders assessed the situation and provided first aid to the injured individual.

Emergency Medical Services transported the man to Winchester Medical Center; however, he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.

The Fauquier County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.

As of now, the identity of the deceased individual has not been made public, and authorities are working to gather more information.
