Teen hit 150+ MPH on stolen motorcycle during chase, deputies say

A teenager in Laurel County, Kentucky, is facing charges after allegedly leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase on a stolen motorcycle. The incident began when deputies from the Laurel County Sheriff's Office attempted to pull over the 17-year-old, who was seen running multiple red lights.

The pursuit escalated when the teen entered I-75, reaching speeds exceeding 150 miles per hour. Authorities pursued him across county lines, showcasing the dangers of reckless driving.

With the assistance of Kentucky State Police, the chase came to an end in Mount Vernon. Upon stopping the motorcycle, deputies discovered it had recently been reported stolen.

The teenager was subsequently taken into custody and transported to a juvenile detention center. He now faces several charges, including wanton endangerment, speeding, and receiving stolen property.
