An Elmore County man, Terry Samuel Stoner, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for possessing child pornography and computer-generated images depicting child sexual abuse. Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced the conviction, which involved two felony counts related to child sexual exploitation, including a violation of a newly enacted law aimed at criminalizing such computer-generated images.

The investigation began in May 2024, when the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit received multiple tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding sexually exploitative material being uploaded from Stoner's residence in Hammett. Following these alerts, authorities executed a search warrant and discovered numerous files containing disturbing images of minors, with some showing children as young as two years old engaged in sexual acts with adults.

Among the materials found, two files featured computer-generated images of a female child between the ages of eight and twelve. The severity of the content prompted swift legal action, leading to Stoner's conviction and subsequent sentencing by Elmore County District Judge Theodore Fleming on March 24, 2025.

Under the terms of the sentence, Stoner is eligible for parole after two years, but he is also required to pay court costs and register as a sex offender upon his release. This case highlights ongoing efforts to combat child exploitation and hold offenders accountable.

Attorney General Labrador emphasized the importance of removing such offenders from communities, underscoring a commitment to public safety and the protection of vulnerable children.
