Oakland County man pleads no contest in abduction, sexual assault of 9-year-old girl

PONTIAC, Mich. - An Oakland County man, Aaron Deneal McDonald, may spend the rest of his life in prison after pleading no contest to multiple charges, including the kidnapping, rape, and torture of a 9-year-old girl in October 2021. The incident occurred near Eight Mile Road and Grand River Avenue, where McDonald reportedly lured the girl into his vehicle.
Once in his car, McDonald attempted to sexually assault the girl before driving her to a residence on Detroit's west side. Court documents reveal that he choked her when she resisted undressing, subsequently torturing and raping her. The young girl managed to escape after McDonald fell asleep, emerging only wrapped in a blanket.
At the time of this attack, McDonald was already a convicted sex offender, having previously been found guilty of sexual violence against a minor and was on parole. He was arrested shortly after the incident and charged with several serious offenses, including kidnapping and torture. Due to the severity of the charges, he was denied bond.
On March 28, 2025, McDonald entered a no contest plea to all counts against him. This plea comes with the potential for a life sentence, reflecting the gravity of his actions and their impact on the victim and the community.
Sentencing for McDonald has been set for May 2, where he will face the possibility of life imprisonment for his crimes against the young girl.
